Dilip Kumar was admitted in Lilavati hospital, Bandra as he was battling with kidney dysfunction issues. The doctors said that the 94 years old actor’s kidneys were getting weaker but the dialysis is yet to start. Due to dehydration complaints, the actor had to be rushed to the hospital after which he was directly shifted to the ICU.
The Vice President of Lilavati Hospital said “His kidney functions are yet to normalize. We are closely monitoring his condition.”
The evergreen actor is in the safe hands of a team of nephrologist and physician including Dr. Jalil Pandye and cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale. Pandye said “He is not stable, but not critical either. He is conscious and breathing on his own”. This clearly showed that he didn’t want to elaborate on the actor’s health status, where on the other hand it was said that the actor’s condition is not stable as his creatinine levels are rising.
There has not been much improvement in his condition since hospitalization. If the kidneys continue to deteriorate, it could lead to failure. In such situations, the heart and lungs tend to get affected next as the toxins start circulating in the blood due to kidney failure. The hospital, however, does not agree on using the word “Kidney Failure” at this point but just saying the organ is functioning but not at its best.
